Functions of Software

By knowing the meaning of software, we can know some of the functions of software on a computer operating system. There are several functions of the software, namely:

• As a basic function for the computer to operate.

• As the operating system and support on the computer.

• Organize every hardware in the computer so that it can work properly.

• Liaison between other software and hardware contained in the computer.

• As a translator for other software into machine language, so that it can be understood by hardware.

• Serves to identify a computer program.
